May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

You are an amazing woman. Congratulations! Your future awaits like a brand new chocolate box, full of interesting surprises, some yummy, some not so, but always something special.

(And I know we haven't met in person, but I still consider you a friend! <3 )

I also consider you a friend, Laurinha! One of the most cherished kind. Thank you for the graduation congratulations. I've often seen that quote around, but at the moment especially appreciate the part about the wind being at my back, and hoping for the rains to fall soft upon my fields. Future, please be gentle with me!

It's been a good week. ♥

Hey Congrats! :-D

May you have the hindsight to know where you've been
the foresight to know where you're going
and the insight to know when you're going too far.

A blessing I always liked while working at an Irish Import shop while in college and particularly applicable to a recent graduate I think. Seeing queridalaurinha's comment reminded me of it. :-D

Wise words! A nice reminder for reflection and self awareness in the upcoming weeks. Lately I've been getting new longings and desires of things I want to pursue. Now that schooling is no longer a responsibility, I can begin the planning process for it all. Redecorate the apartment? Travel the world? Move to the city? Settle down on a farm, marry a ranch hand, and raise a flock of ducks? If I wanted, I could do any of these things!

But wow, what an impact. The fact that I'm graduated now is still sinking in.

Those are only natural! It's such a relief to find oneself finally free of school. The future looks bright and shiny and the possibilities are many. You can do anything! Though, ever the practical person I am, I'd suggest you start with getting a job. ;-p And, failing that I'd suggest starting with redecorating your apartment. :-D

Heehee, marrying a ranch hand and raising a flock of ducks seems like an interesting (though likely not particularly financially profitable) prospect. ;-) Have a ranch hand in mind?

Ahaha. Keeping me on the straight and narrow, Caitiy! And setting my priorities straight. XD I must agree that finding a job comes first. I'm still searching, with no new leads at the current moment, but something good is bound to turn up. It's all just a numbers game after all, isn't it? With consistent searching, something must happen.

I don't have a particular ranch hand in mind for this instance, but since I live in the midwest I don't think finding one would be very difficult. I think you're right though... ducks might not be the most profitable. Especially if they attempt to head south every winter time, and abandon the farm. Though we could clip their wings.

Can you pet ducks? Do ducks like to be petted? I'm not sure. But they eat bread crumbs. Taking care of them shouldn't be too difficult... I should think. We just need a reaaaaally big pond. XD

Thanks, Rei!

The very first thing I did upon graduation was enjoy a nice dinner with family. It's nice basking in the glow of it all, and feeling that accomplishment. Wow, wow, wow!!

Thaaaaank you, Deni.

There were so many pictures taken that day, but the weather was nice and the sun was bright, so my sunglasses got plenty of usage. XD

Thanks a lot, Ice!

It's tradition at my school that on graduation day, all graduates must walk down a certain hill, in a line, and go through the campus bell tower. From there, we head to the graduation ceremony.

They say that if you walk all the way through the bell tower as an underclassman before before graduation, then you'll be cursed! And unable to finish school within four years!! So the underclassman avoid the bell tower like the plague. But by walking through it on graduation day, the curse is broken. It's strange but fun tradition. XD

Oh, man, that sounds like such a cool tradition...BUT VERY CREEPY. I think with pictures, so when you mentioned all graduates walking in line and being cursed when walking through the bell tower when still an underclassman...*shudders*

Do you have any post grad plans? :D

Oh no, not creepy! It's a very light hearted event, and the curse is more like a joke. It's fun to tease underclassman about not walking through the bell tower. They can step inside, but not walk all the way through! Like a superstition.

I think the post grad plans are to find a job. But first a very small break from it all. XD
