So I was channel-surfing on my Franken-TV, and I came upon Prime Minister's Questions, my favorite export of the British Empire. It certainly brings back memories of learning about the UK parliament in AP Gov all those years ago. Would such a PMQ also include the possibility for a vote of no confidence? Otherwise its headless.

Well we already have the impeachment thing, which everyone seems to have forgotten about. A good PMQ, however, would allow for the different parties to politely insult each other matters of policy. I suppose a good set of questions could result in a loss of confidence.

No one has forgotten about impeachment, as nicely demonstrated by the larouchians. However in a biparty system it is unreasonably hard to carry out. I would be in favor of a system where impeachment didn't have such strong negative connotations, where it just ment that the public had moved on and didn't want to wait four years to vote someone new in.
