That's a GREAT icon! Did you make that??

:D I'm still blown away by the overall response! I was reading an article online out of TX that said 1000 students from one of the A&M colleges walked seven miles to their nearest polling place to vote early, and apparently more than 2/3 of the requested ballots were for Democrats.

I may be coming down some Friday to hang out with you. My Ancestry membership was suspended because (d'oh) the debit card it was drawing on expired *insert facepalm here*. In a couple more weeks I'll re-up...but in the meantime I can come down and dig for dead people.....so to speak. ;-)

I was working in broadcasting during three presidential elections and it was my favorite night to work, even though it was a late one. I remember in the '96 election, I was hugely pregnant with my DD1 (3 weeks from due date, and that wound up being almost 5 weeks from actual delivery), waddling up and down the halls gathering polling info on not only the national elections but about 40 different regional and local elections, and reporting on two radio stations almost simultaneously...and one of my coworkers at WIMX ignited a bag of popcorn in the microwave. LOL There was this haze hanging in the air and omgoodness it smelled nasty in there! But we had a great time nonetheless....between reports we'd discuss the close races and what one outcome or the other meant for the districts involved, etc.
