Had a bit of a "lie in" this morning...as did the rest of the family. Maybe we're in hibernation mode. It's rare that any of us sleep past 8 a.m. on the weekend. Ah, I think that '...less expensive for the department ...' and '...has a broader application to the department.' are reasonable clues as to why the boss presented it.

Actually she didn't even know about the one in LA until I brought it up. She mentioned Chicago to me only because she received a mailing about it. And the cost difference isn't that much in the grand scheme of a $600K budget...about $280. But if I can "save some money" for them...it'll just look better. :)
