We need help. We are looking for TV shows to watch this week and weve gone through all we can find and weve seen everything. We are looking for something to watch after work for an hour or two. We want it to be fun and vaguely happy though not too taxing. So no Cathy Come Home of Boys from the Blackstuff because thats too depressing and no West ( Read more... )

LOL. We have a Reader who's the spitting image of Penfold.

I love Penfold, but I wouldn't want to look like him. And I must confess that I love Dangermouse more.

Dangermouse is a good suggestion, and is also slightly before my time so I havent seen it. Shall forage to find.

Hi Guys

Long time no... well you know what I mean.

Have you tried Man in a Suitcase? Another of Lew Grade's ATV stable and quite fun. Richard Bradford used to be easy on the eye before the ravages of booze and burgers.

We're gearing up for the European mini-con. Di and I fly to Norway a week on Thursday. Will post pic-spam on our return.

*hugs you both*

Ooooo Norway- where there are fjords and bad wolf bay. How exciting. I really have no idea in my head what Norway looks like, which is strange as its really not that far away. Cant wait for the pics. Have a lovely time.

Man in a Suitcase looks a possibility. Shall attempt to *cough* accquire it.

If you like I can send you some more "Alias Smith and Jones".

Have you seen "The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr."? "Adam Adamant Lives"? "Blake's 7"? "Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased"? (Either series)

Not an hour long program but "The Monkees"?

I can provide any of these for you if you like. (Alas only first seasons of B7 and ASJ though.)

I have a bit of "Dangermouse", "Super Ted", "Pokey and Gumby"... if you want that kind of thing.

Actually I just got a big bunch of stuff from a friend. Let me peek and see if there are any other series in there. Back in a bit.

Let's see I can add the first season of "Chuck" or some "Dave Allen at Large" or "Misfits of Science" or "Mastermind" (not the game show but three episodes of the series starring Sam Waterson and Julian Glover).

Oh, and pretty much any episode of "Mystery Science 3000" that you'd like.

Ah more Alias Smith and Jones would be wonderful. And Pete Duel is certainly squeeworthy

We have seen all of Blake Seven and the wonder that is Avon. Though we only have the 2001 series of Randall and Hopkirk not the old one.

Basically anything that will stop me wanting to kill Shovewood with a frying pan would be good. Things are a tad fraught- we know when we need to go get outside help.

Oh dear! I was all around the country this week my dears, I'm sorry I couldn't pay you a visit. I promise I will come and see you soon, on the proviso that you don't try to kill each other.

*g*

I can send you some MacGyver if you're really in need of something to watch. I have Red Dwarf and Blackadder too. I also have Quantum Leap as well as all the Tom and Jerry cartoons and Bugs Bunny....hmmm. I'll check and see what else I have.
