highlights to the week

1. A, A, A, B. B was in philosophy. highest A was in creative writing. not shocking, but it's nice to know that after almost six years of not going to class i can still get A's. now, to finish out this school in a year and go on to a traditional university.

2. i counted my nail polish collection. it's up to 142. i think. i know it's 140-something

Do you have a particular brand of nail polish that you love? I'm not a huge nail polish wearer, but I've recently discovered the brand No Miss , and I love it because it's made in Florida and all the colors have a Florida city in their name, like "Gainesville Green," "Jacksonville Jasmine," "Tampa Teal," "Yeehaw Yellow" (yes, Yeehaw Junction is actually a real place in Florida, LOL), and "West Palm Wisteria." So fun.

Do I have a brand that I love? Not really. I guess maybe OPI but honestly I love Wet N Wild just as much. It's not so much brands as colors. I've never heard of No Miss, but I've just been browsing their site and I'm definitely getting that glow in the dark one. Thanks for telling me about them.

I'm not a nail polish person even though I have nails that grow long. Just curious: do you have that many because you constantly change color or do you simply collect colors just in case? And I get excited over pens so I can understand about your orange-ink pen. Ha ha.

Yes, write the fic!!! Or, you know, just start it when you get the chance and see where it goes.

I'm so jealous of your nail growth. Mine are all short and sucky. They peel all the time. I do constantly change polish colors (I usually go no more than two days, but recently it's been about four days just because I haven't had the time) but I like collecting them. I had a huge collection when I was a teenager but in a fit of angst threw them all away. I have some polishes that aren't produced anymore and are hard to find, some that cost $18/0.5 ounce bottle, some made and only available in Europe or Japan, etc. So yes, it's about the collecting but I really do love nail polish. It's the one makeup/beauty thing I like.

I "liked" your facebook status about your grades, but I forgot to congratulate you on them so congrats. :) That is awesome, and of course, your highest "A" was in creative writing.

Do you have a lot of space in your bathroom for your nail polish collection?

I am not a big fan of the color orange because of Clemson, but I do like colorful pens so I understand your excitement about this orange pen. ;)

You should write another Lure fic. I have to admit that I am still hoping you will eventually finish writing that fic in the MacKenzie (Strawberry) universe. Yet again, I have that song from Strawberry Shortcake stuck in my head.

My week has pretty much consisted of sleeping and taking pain meds, but Candy and I did manage to get through part of our huge list of shows on the DVR so that was something.

I keep them all in shoeboxes until I can get a proper filing cabinet. I don't have any room for the cabinet now. You can get a surprising amount in shoeboxes with just a little force and particular placement.

I know you hate orange. Sorry. But it's a really nice pen.

I actually thought about the Strawberry universe and I couldn't remember the name I gave her. How sad is that? I honestly don't know if I'll ever write that story. I want to, I just don't know if I have the time. Plus it'll probably be different then how I originally saw it, you know?

Go rest up. And I'm serious about what I said. Maybe you need to go get checked up, just to make sure everything is okay and you're not having any reactions or something.

I am strangely fascinated by the fact that you put them in shoeboxes, but I don't know why. I used to use shoeboxes to store random stuff like my portable CD player (it was a Mary-Kate and Ashley CD player because I am a dork) and game thing for car trips. I just store my small amount of nail polish in the my bathroom, but I only have a few bottles

I have only ever worn nail polish once in my life, and even that was clear, glow-under-UV-light-one. ;) So I can only say that 142 already sounds like a lot to me, but with all the different shades of colors and the sparkly/glittery stuff I'm sure there's more than 400 different ones out there and you'll achieve your goal eventually.
And hey, I get excited over pens too. :D

I have no idea how it happened, but I guess the combination of me being a tomboy and my mom never wearing nailpolish either led to my never trying it. So it's not that I don't like it, it's just that I've been fine without it all my life and now I feel like it's just too late to start. ;)

I get it. I wasn't much into it until high school and friends got me wearing it. And even after I did get into it I chucked them all away my Junior or Senior year and didn't pick it back up until about 2 years ago.

But it's never too late to pick it up. Never. :D
