Willow!

Willow is adorable! She's got major issues (thanks absentee parents/life on the Hellmouth!) and sometimes she's really, really bad, but I can't help but want to cuddle her any time she's sad. Her selfishness might annoy me at times, but her cute geekiness and the perverted sexiness under the fluffy exterior makes me love her. So if there's one word to sum her up for me, it's moeMy OT3 is Buffy/Willow/Xander, and I also ship her individually with both, though differently. Buffy/Willow is about how they balance each other, how Willow yearns for the importance and destiny in Buffy and how Buffy yearns for the (relative) normality and freedom from obligation in Willow. Willow/Xander is about the love and comfort between two people who have known each other forever and will always be there for each other. I also ship Willow/Tara for its pure sweetness, and I shed manly tears when Tara died. Willow/Amy is my foe yay pairing for Willow ( ... )

My unpopular opinion about Willow is that despite the "Gay now!'s", she's actually bisexual.

That is totally my unpopular opinion, too! In real life I would never presume to tell someone she was bi if she identified as lesbian, but as Willow is a TV character, I feel perfectly justified in rolling my eyes and/or gnashing my teeth about it. I really dislike how the writers tried to retcon her sexuality (and ignored her legitimate love for Oz and Xander) instead of exploring the equally interesting bi aspects of sexuality. And if I were bi, I'd be offended that my sexuality had been dismissed. Well, actually I'm still kind of offended.

This might be politically incorrect, but I certainly would if it was supported by the facts. I mean, if a man who has has sex with men insists that he is undeniably straight, wouldn't you at least question whether he understands the meaning of the term?

And if I were bi, I'd be offended that my sexuality had been dismissed. Well, actually I'm still kind of offended.

Indeed.

Gunn!

I like that despite being the token minority member of Angel Investigations, Gunn is a stereotype breaker, which I can totally identify with (hardcore ghetto fighter with a nerdy streak!). To be honest, I get the impression at times that the writers weren't really sure what to do with Gunn, and consequently, he doesn't feel all that well fleshed out for me. So while I like Gunn, it feels like that's in a shallow sort of way, based on a limited picture ( ... )

I've got one: Damon Salvatore from TVD

I'm not too qualified to answer this one as I don't follow the show, but from the little I've seen and a little bit of research, I'm thinking you picked Damon because you thought I might identify with him. If so, you were right. ;) Damon is a hilarious sociopath ("I like being the eternal stud," "If I see anything I've never seen before I'll throw a dollar at it."), though he could do with a tad more discipline and subtlety. Apparently, his character is debated within fandom, but from what I've seen, I interpret him as trying to be more evil/a jerk than he actually is ( ... )

Oh, and to add an unpopular opinion...

I'm not really sure what popular fandom opinions on this show are, but would Damon being a bisexual "Anything that Moves" kinda guy be one? XD

Angel!

Angel's a big, fluffy puppy with bad teeth. =P No really, Angel's a total dork, but in an amusing way. As he's told by a manager in the first episode, Angel's an actor, and he tries too hard to play what he thinks is his part, whether that's as Buffy's epic tragic love or the Batman of LA... and often fails hilariously. I do like him more on AtS than BtVS; he gets to be the buttmonkey of his own show! :D

I ship Darla/Angel/Dru/Spike as a foursome, and Angel with each of the other Fanged Four individually. Angel/Darla and Angel/Dru are both deliciously fucked up with plenty of sexiness, evil, and incest overtones to spare, while Angel/Spike is like a legitimized crack pairing (To quote Joss: "We finally found the right girl for Angel - Spike). I also enjoy Angel/Cordy as the sweeter pairing, and would embrace it more if not for the fact that I believe Angel should always keep fighting instead of finding a happily ever after.

Non-romantic OTP is definitely Faith. I found the Five by Five-Sanctuary arc quite moving, and as fellow ( ... )
