Guys, what the fuck is going on?

How is this my country? Every time I turn on the news my heart starts pounding and I feel like throwing up. This can't be right. This can't be the direction we're going. We can't seriously think that a woman who supports overturning Roe v. Wade and was involved with legislation that would require women to pay for Read more... )

Well I have to admit... being uninformed and uneducated IS a lot less stressful.

Basically... I hate politics... and talking about them... yatta yatta... I could tell that she's an idiot AND I hate McCain... and I'll be voting against them anyway... so... I personally feel my time could be better spent doing things I actually enjoy that doesn't make me want to rip my hair out.

:)

Join me! It's fun!

Oh, and PS... she's not hot... to me. Just an FYI.

Most of the time I don't feel particularly informed anyway. I read the news basically every day, but it's so damned overwhelming most of the time. Although I have had some fun verbally abusing Palin with friends, lately. At least it gives the rage some sort of outlet.

I don't think she's attractive either. It's all about camera angles. And those damn Tina Fey glasses.

Sarah Palin is less qualified than Bush (watch her ABC interview) and everyone with half a brain knows it, and some political spin doctors are painting her as a tough, smart feminist? If that weren't enough, there are throngs of people who can't see through the lies and believe this crap and that, that makes me throw up in my soul.

The Bush Doctrine? As in his world view?

God that was hilarious. I probably shouldn't have been so amused, but then again, if I hadn't been laughing I probably would have been twitching and crying, so whatever.

I'd really like to believe that most sane people would not consider her a feminist, but then again, a whole lot of people do seem to consider her qualified and informed, so...I just don't know. What really galls me is that Hillary Clinton endured so much blatant sexism and misogyny and no one batted a damn eye, but now every time anyone questions Palin's credentials they're suddenly a slavering sexist boar. Does. Not. Compute.
