Today is a red-letter day for gay rights in California. The California Supreme Court just ruled the current state law banning gay marriage as unconstitutional, so thirty days from now gay couples will be able to get marriage licenses anywhere within the state. This was actually a somewhat active day for me, relatively speaking. I'm doing contract work for my former company's acquirers in New York, which took up a little time this morning. Mother Nature seems to have a bone to pick with us lately. Tornadoes in the Central US, a volcano eruption in Chile, a cyclone hitting Myanmar, an absolutely devastating earthquake in China, and now a wildfire tearing through Florida. It looks like the media, if not the general Democratic party, is finally zeroing in on a presumed democratic nominee for president. Hilary's chance of catching up to Obama in delegate count is unlikely at best, scandalous at worse.
