Hi! This is a ridiculously long post about my last two days and The All-American Rejects show that we went to last night. With pics! And hopefully a vid, if it works! And lots of ramble!

i was thinking of you guys having fun while i was being snowed in... :( i wish i'd flown over for it and avoided the freaking ice storm we had, i did get a day off work though since i couldn't actually get into my car because it was fairly icecube-y.

YES, we will see them and it will be perfect.

i did. stupid retarded ticket site was wonky and broken. i emailed OKC and they obv. kicked someones ass and fixed the problem. i got a general admission ticket for columbus, but since it's an outdoor venue and i don't want to queue for hours by myself i'll probably end up at the back. and i got a seated ticket for the show in indy, row 14 seat 30-something. not bad since presale started yesterday and the site was fucked most of today. i doubt i'll have gotten early entry for either since i was so late in geting tickets, but at least i get to see the boys :)

Hi! Um, you don't know me from Adam, but I'm a big fan of your writing. I'm also a terminal lurker, which is why I haven't ever commented on anything. Ever. But I just wanted you to know that even though I don't even listen to The Cab and don't know which Alex is which, I even read your latest story about them. (Usually I avoid them, because I don't know who is who).
I also really like your SGA, which I just found the other day!
So I was wondering if it would be alright if I friended you. (I really am planning on posting stuff in my own journal, sometime. In the future).
You also go to a lot of shows, and seem to have your finger on the pulse of bandom, so, (and I don't know what the etiquette is for this sort of thing is, so I'm just going to ask), I have an extra ticket for Fall Out Boy in Osaka on the 5th of February, do you know anyone who wants to go but couldn't? My friend found out he couldn't go AFTER we bought tickets, and I would hate to see it go to waste.

So, first things first, it would be totally awesome if you friended me, and I will of course friend you right back!

Secondly, wow, thank you so much for reading my fic, especially if you don't know who the characters are (although if you ever wanted to listen to the Cab or learn which Alex was which, I'm sure you'd really love them as they are awesome failboats of the best kind, and if you ever need any help learning more about them, I could probably talk about them for hours and hours).

Sadly I don't know anyone who would want your extra ticket (although oh man, seeing them in Osaka? That must be kinda amazing) but there are a couple of avenues you could try. There's the comm 2damnoldforthis which is designed to get info and offer up tickets for international bandom shows. You might also want to try falloutboylove or one of the other FOB fan comms, as they sometimes have people advertising tickets for sale. Or, if you can't find anyone to take it, and the show is sold out, there's a good change the venue might buy it back from you (minus ( ... )

Thank you so much for you advice! I bought the tickets at a convenience store (Japan prettymuch rocks), so I don't know if I'll be able to sell them back, but I am about to go check out those comms. I am really looking forward to the show, (I've been a fan since high school but haven't seen them live yet)!
And honestly, I would LOVE to hear your long and detailed description of The Cab and which Alex is which, that sounds like a lot of fun.

No worries! I hope you get someone to take the ticket (and oh man- convenience store? That is pretty freaking awesome!). I'm so excited for you getting to see them for the first time. I've got limited experience in seeing FOB live, but from what I have seen, they put on an AMAZING show. I always end up sounding like a broken record when I say this to people, but if you're planning on trying to get barrier, always go for Joe's side, as Pete's side is where all the crazy shit happens and from Joe's side you can see everything with half the crush (and the boys move around a lot and switch sides and everything, so you don't really lose out at ALL). I hope they play a good mix of songs for you guys!

And oh man, it's after midnight here so you've been spared from an overlong ramble about the Cab tonight, but I will most likely bore you to tears about them at some time in the future. And if I forget (as I am wont to do about such things) give me a nudge and you'll probably never get me to shut up about them!

Oh man, Nick and Spencer's hips in the same place at the same time. That I would like to see. I love all these pics! And the video! And I just had such a wonderful time at the show with you guys. It was all kinds of amazing.
