I say better late than never.

I do enjoy these little bonding moments between Cas and Dean when they are not fighting to save the world.

Wow. This could fit very well into early canon. I really like how you write them and their dialogue and how they relate to each other in general. Really cool.

Thank you! I was glad that they gave Castiel a little character development in season five and all, but he was so adorable in season four that I really enjoyed revisiting the "early" Dean and Cas. I'm happy that the story worked for you.

Thank you. I spent a *lot* of time on his dialogue, so it's good to hear that it worked.

Again, this is beautiful. I love the voices you gave both of them. I like that you made Cas a little more pliant and emotional. I mean, he's still stoic and angel-y, but too many times people write him too stiff. This was like early Cas where you could see a dark sense of humor in him somewhere and a little more fluidity to his movements and thoughts.

Anyway. I loved it :)

I'm really glad that Cas's character worked for you. The vast majority of this fic was actually written within a month or so of "Heaven and Hell" airing, when there wasn't much of the character to go on, and I can't even guess how many times I rewatched each scene he'd been in up to that point, to make sure that his personality came through in the fic. I liked him fine in season five, but he was maybe a little more adorable early on. ;-)
