That's not protecting you. That's you trying to protect me for some ridiculous reason that's more than likely pointless. But have it your way. I'm still keeping to what I said as long as you're choosing to hide things from me.

[OOC: Sadly, since he's still only a first-year cadet, he doesn't actually do much in the way of real guard work yet. So more than likely, he'd stumble upon him doing it by accident.]

It's only one thing, and we haven't hung out at all cause you've been like way busy. And you finally get time off and your best friend gets no love? Not cool, not cool.

I'm friends with a supposed criminal. Since you want to protect me so badly, it would probably be in your best interests to not even interact with me. Because if people figured out we were friends, they'll automatically come looking for me anyhow thinking I might be involved. So I'm sorry, Sae, but you can't have things both ways.

Stop trying to guilt-trip me into changing my mind. You're not going to get me halfway involved, Sae.

[OOC: Honestly, while he'd be a bit disappointed, Aoi wouldn't care that much if Sae just explained why. And even if he says he's going to eventually, Aoi wouldn't ever arrest Sae over it if he didn't have to or if he could make the other guards think something differently. The boy may be a goody two shoes a lot of the time, but he will do what he can to protect his friends.]
