ha ha! i like your comment about william wegman....i have seen the photographs of the weimaraner dogs dressed up....to me, that is not real art. it's too cutesy....like something you'd see on a calendar you could purchase at the post office or one of those calendar kiosks in the mall.....there is a kiosk in brookwood village that sells calendars....and that is the kind of stuff they sell....like the dogs dressed up.....to me, that is not real art....so, i was amused by your comment about his show!

The show is a very underserved retrospective-- it includes his paintings, films, and drawings as well. Not a whole lot of dressed up dogs, thankfully, but plenty OF his dogs doing various 'artsy' things. I'm especially annoyed at all the white walls-- we have a gallery designer who could have made it look so much better, but Wegman insisted on all white walls. *Yawn*
