...we went there to help the people. We were going to move up in power, and make things better for the slaves.

Make them stronger, one camp at a time until they could effectively fight back.

We still had to treat them like slaves. Better conditions or not, it's not something easy to do. And in the end, the camp was destroyed, we were 'captured,' and while the slaves escaped, was the pain we caused them worth the result?

....it was not an easy experience. Aerith isn't able to handle it anymore and took the out Daigo offered, to say he forced her to come with him.

If not for the experience of the situation of the slave camp being similar to how my home was like under my brother's rule, I might not have been able to handle it either.
