How did I miss this yesterday? I have so many photos of it in my files and it's so lovely there. Some, as they say, may not have central heating but they do have baseboard heat at least. The ones without showers are the people I feel for but most of the places have been modernized by now, I think. We've wandered through teh Christmas tree market there many a time.

How long has it been since you were in Augsburg?
I could live there.

We left there the summer of 1980. We have not been back since. I would love to take my son there to show where he was born.

Yes, I remember you saying that's where your son was born. Although we only make yearly or bi-yearly visits to Augsburg, it felt like home to me in some odd way from the very first time we were there.
It has grown, I think, but the town center is pretty much the same as always.
