She's still around, but things aren't great for cats on the street. :( I saw her two days ago, and she was looking.... off? Dirty, a bit greasy-ish. I dismissed it as her being wet; it had been raining that day. Laure saw her yesterday and she looked much the same. On our way back inside from the dog walk this morning, she came out. I looked

Aren't there any cat rescue groups in Philadelphia? Calling around the vets is the way to find one if your local Petco doesn't have an arrangement with one.

It would be a kindness for someone to take her off the street even if it's just to give her a fast and painless end, but it's possible she could still be saved.

Not the A or the Humane Society, though, they are usually constrained by local law to put down unadoptable strays even if they could have been socialized.

Sad. This is how I got into cat rescue, frankly. It's extremely demanding in time, money, and emotions--don't get into it!!!--but there are folks in the vast majority of urban places, and some rural, who do it.
