I think the Master is jealous. He's secretly in love with the Faithful Servant but the Faithful Servant loves the time-travelling Qing Princess. The Master goes insane with jealousy and tries to deflower Qing Princess so as to render her 'spoiled goods' but Faithful Servant rescues her in time and rebutes Master's advances. Who then kills him because you kill what you can't have.

Qing Princess returns to her own time and eventually marries a kind Mongolian prince but will always remembers her first love.
