Today Todd and I went to the Camperdown Bowling Club (lawn bowls, not ten-pin) to attend the book launch for Vanessa Berry's first book, Strawberry Hills Forever.

ok, I've ordered a copy of Stawberry Hills. They are not adding anything for postage. How very UNgleebooks of them.

I've just finishsed Augusten Burroughs' Running with Scissors, a memoir of his crazy, unorthodox childhhood, and loved it. I had read another of his memoirs a few years ago called Dry about his recovery from alcholism in New York. Both are edgy, FUNNY, black and astute.

I am LOVING Strawberry Hills! Sneaking away to read it in bed is like the best indulgence. Will report more as I read on. Her associations are wonderful.

I love her writing so much. So glad this post precipitated possibly three purchases, and glad you're loving it so. I finished it in two gulps!

this book looks quite good...might have to buy a copy.

Yeah, I love her photos. Can't believe this post has spurred on two - nearly three - of you to buy it. Couldn't be happier either!
