X-Files 2 Janke Spoiler

Jul 23, 2008 03:24

So I was browsing on IMDb, and some folks have been lucky enough to see XF2 already. There are 3 user comments about it, where I found a little info ( about Janke )

OH MY GOD.

I am so terribly conflicted! Because yet another evil fag in mainstream media is SO NOT COOL. But.

But.

Callum's playing gay? And trying to build a genderfucked back-from-the-dead boyfriend? I am crying from hysteria and glee.

I know right? It made me do the O.O face for quite a while (and then I giggled a lot but that's besides the point. ahem) I just... I have no words. *throws arms in the air*

ooh, but at least we know he gets to speak? I wonder how his Russian accent is. *g*

You know the thing about XFiles is that you really can't take the plots seriously because they really do all sound pretty wacked out and crazy. The fact that anybody, Duchovny, Anderson, Connolly, and Callum can make it entertaining at all is a great achievement in my book.

Sounds to me like the person writing the review is a big fan of Krycek, something I never was. Maybe that's why he's bitching about Callum's character being the main Russian antagonist.

And Callum as Queer Villian? Yikes! I can hear the 6 Degrees wheels turning already. *g*

Absolutely. I have no doubt it will be entertaining. :) I kind of wish I hadn't read the comments about it though, but at least I'll be prepared going in.. the shock is subsiding. *g*

I'm really looking forward to it. I'm not going until next week when the crowd dies down. I figure if the critics don't like it, I'll love it. I rarely agree with those people. *g*

Me too. It's not released here until next Friday anyway, so I'll probably see it a little bit later than most. But no matter how cracky it is, I'm determined to enjoy it. Hee!

I never, never, never read spoilers, but I am kinda glad I did this time so as to soften the shock on Friday. Now I don't have to spend QUITE so much time going WTF! I wish I were more surprised that this turned out to be so (apparently) fucked up and unintentionally hilarious.

I usually try and avoid them. I was just skimming, saw Callum's name and... couldn't stop reading. *headdesks*
