Well I did it. If all goes well, in roughly two weeks time I will have a new laptop.

My brother recently got a new laptop with Vista... and he's even more tech tarded than I am. His experienced, technical and carefully considered thoughts on Vista: "It sucks ass"

Very pretty computer though. I would've picked the blue too!

*g* I've heard similar things about Vista from a few people.

I have the 1520 in red and it's as pretty as advertised. It arrived much more quickly than their initial estimate. (Can't comment on vista as I paid extra to have xp.)

I dithered over the choice of colours for a silly amount of time. The more choices there are the harder it is. Well, if you're me. *g* Good to know about quick arrival though. :)

People are alway kvetching about Vista, and maybe it's because I'm a surface user who only knows enough tricks to get into trouble, but I've had no problem with it? Yeah, sometimes there are incompatibilities with old stuff, and there's a lot of security shenanigans, but you learn to click through.

Office 2007, on the other hand? THE DEVIL. Get right of it and load in 2003 posthaste.
