F&G isn't the most uplifting movie either. I spent my time with it crying and wanting to slap Ed silly. And also wanting to jump him. It was conflicting, as always.

I've learned from screencaps/reading reviews that it's emotional. But Ed at least gets bonus points for not being a serial killer and making it to the end of the movie without getting shot. Right? *worried*

Emotional is one word for it. It's a very good film, and Ed isn't evil, but he's definitely in the "bad father" category of Callum characters . . . not as bad as Jim, maybe, but still. I wanted to send all of them to therapy.
