Right, here we go then, the penultimate episode of the season. A review filled with Brady Bunch references, (a iccle bit of) bad language and geese. Pretty much a standard reaction to an episode of Merlin...

We didn't see enough of Hunith. I wonder if she'll make it through the next episode alive.
Ha, yes, maybe that's the tree Merlin gets trapped in! Foreshadowing alert?
This episode did seem very simular to last years in parts. I'm hoping though that it's just to set everything up for next episode and the finale with be a bit more individual.
Yeah, it was good that there was loads more attention to M/A than previous episodes. There could have been a bit more, I agree. I'm just glad when they bring both their stories to the front though and weave them together.
I don't really get the Gwen/Morgana showdown. Surely it already happened before Morgana turned her into Bambi? Gwen can't go and stand up to her now after whimpering away last time. It's like thinking up a really biting insult after you've had an arguement with someone. You can't then go back just to say the insult.
Haha, my bet's still on Gaius, and Agravaine of course. Not so sure about Hunith. Merlin losing both his parents (so to speak) in the course of one episode? Does seem a bit much. Though I do worry about her.
Is there anyone left who believes a magical reveal is coming? This is so frustrating I can't describe it. Merlin's character development has been stifled all season just because the writers won't get their heads out of their asses and let him come out of the closet. This is getting ridiculous. :(((
Yeah I don't think Merlin would loose both Gaius and Hunith in one episode. I think it'll be one or the other.
All hope of a magical reveal fell away a couple of weeks ago. The early part of the season felt it was working up to it, but around episode 9ish, it seemed to backtrack. If we were getting a reveal they'd sort of hint at it and put the groundwork in for the last few episodes, and they haven't done that. Unless it's going to be right at the end of course.
Ah, he must have taken over Cendred's land quite recently then. In the episode with Fake Lancelot they were still refering to it as Cendred's kingdom. I wonder if we'll ever meet him.
Hee! I absolutely loved this review Bee - only just saw it! It was full of insights and laugh out loud moments - the review I mean not the ep. :p

Yeah there was definitely a strong moral question over Merlin using his powers to get Arthur to loose his free will. I did enjoy that Gaius wasn't remotely bothered by it though! I thought it was done really well though and it made me chuckle throughout

By the way: Lot took over Cendric's kingdom, apparently, because Ealdor is there.
And Lot, in the stories, is Morgause’s husband.
Uhm…
And damn, was I pissed off about Tristan & Isolde...
