The first time I saw the word, I had to look it up on wikipedia. ;)

It's webspeak for "owned", from hitting "p" accidentilly instead of "o." (the usage of "own" in this case being "to soundly defeat an opponent." So saying "Angel got pwnd!" means "Angel got his ass kicked!"). It's pronounced like "own" with a "p" in front of it. :)
