Sigh. Sigh. Sigh.

[1] I woke up at 6.00 this morning to come to campus in order to finish--and start--the paper I have due today. After getting the campus, making several futile attempts at the pertinent reading (read: 1:5 ratio of sentence read to minutes spent fallen asleep in public) that was on the course reserve, I decided to scrap the endeavor ( Read more... )

consider americorps. i just had my orientation today and i'm filled with love for the program. it would be great for you to do for a year until you figure out what you want to do later. there are hundreds of programs to choose from. you could even go to portland and do this. it's much better than minimum wage job you will probably hate.

thanks for the guidance counselling. seriously. i am going to take this as an invitation to interrogate you about americorps. i've honestly thought about it before, but i only really looked into the teach for america program, which seemed to require too much of a commitment (2 years). glad you love your job!

well, i love it so far, and i haven't actually started, so. haha. but feel free to ask me about things, and explore their website and look up some of the listings. i looked at teach for america briefly too and it's way more intimidating than most of the americorps things.
