This is only after 4 days with the new stand up dulcimer. I love it and I am amazed at Blaine Horlocker's handiwork, but I need to get some pegs put on so I can use s strap. Not bad for a beginner though, great fun!

It is strung with banjo strings and tuned DAD.
I want to get a slide and experiment with that :0)

4 Days! Ok, you've played before, yes? Love the song choice. I'm vaguely aware that the Dulcimer goes back to medieval chamber music, which makes me wonder if it was used much in accompany with a harpsichord. The sounds are very similar and, I think, might compliment each other well. Very nice!

I do play guitar, so that made the dulcimer easy to pick up.

That is the coolest little instrument and you are quite good at playing it. Sounds great

Thanks Rae. I am learning a few songs to play for my little nephew. The Fox song, you may have heard that by Nickel Creek, old Macdonald, amazing grace, shortnin' bread, and how can I keep from singing.
