i confess, i haven't read the previous chaptes. i just popped in on chapter thirteen. but it was really good reading! such an interesting idea. would never have thought of putting these two in a fic together, but it works v. well. both are completely in character and well-written. fave quotes:

'He said, “The advantage to not havin’ readin' and writin’ in the swamp is that folks have to say important things to each other’s faces.”'

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I think it's a good sign when someone can drop into a story at a random point and be engaged by it [and not just confused ;)]. :)

Heh. Now I'm imagining the swamp benders emailing and blogging with, like, smartphones, while wearing their leaf hats. It would be too much trouble to wire the swamp, so they'd just get portable devices.

Hi there, I'm not super sure how I ended up here but I just blew through this story. It's awesome, and by extension you are also awesome. :)

I've always wondered what Mai was doing while Ty Lee played chi-blocking with the warriors. I love this idea. In fact, this is my new head-canon.
