One-fourth of the world's population lives on less than US$200 a year.

Most deaths in a hospital occur between 4 and 6 PM, the time when the human body is at its weakest.

This was part of a long list of random facts and doesn't list a source, unfortunately. Quick google turns up several sites where it's quoted. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=Out+of+the+34%2C000+gun+deaths+in+the+U.S.+each+year%2C+fewer+than+300+are+listed+as+%22justifiable+homicide

Right, but sadly none of those sources seem all that cite worthy if I'm ever using the information in a discussion. I'll have to keep on digging a bit.

Why is the human body at its weakest between 4 and 6 pm?

I wish I knew the proper explanation. This was part of a long list of random facts and doesn't list a source but I had read something to this effect before. When I google there's a lot of BODY CLOCK info but almost all seems linked to sleeping patterns. Just by logic, I'm assuming it's related to one's metabolism/bodily functions running "on low" at that time for those with a regular schedule. There's the "afternoon slump" at 3 or 4pm that people talk about, too. I'm assuming it's related.

I'm surprised nobody commented on the first one. People should be outraged, no? Or have we all just resigned?

Yeah, I'm afraid that's what it is. I think the whole charity thing is done the wrong way. It should start with providing livestock and free education so people can support themselves, rather than giving things. That's the short version but I'm sure you know what I'm getting at.
