Ah, I'm glad to see there's someone else in the world who has no interest in Harry Potter! I'm already dreading to read my friends list later this month because I know that half the people on it will be babbling about the new book for days and days :S

Haha, so am I! I'm completely oblivious as the world around goes crazy...

It's definitely an experience.

Yeah, I never even picked it up. It seemed like a kiddie thing to me from the start. But then, I'm not into fantasy, mystery or scifi genres either. Too rooted in reality I guess. :)
I also prefer non-fiction to fiction even though I read both.

I don't think I've ever had anything in my life to be very freakish about.

The only thing I could imagine 'camping out' for would be maybe to get a good spot for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade or the Rose Parade..

But, those are things I want to experience once in my lifetime.

mmmm...Maybe if someone was offering something like an all expense paid trip around the world for a year. There's probably not much of a limit of what I'd do for that.

My kids are into the Potter thing - I go along with it.

I'd camp out for the around-the-world-trip too. =)
How about space? Would you go if someone paid for it?

nahhh - I've never really been hit by the space bug.

Though I do want to see the space shuttle launch sometime.

Same here. No interest in space even though I'm sure it's cool to experience weightlessness. If someone gave me a roundtrip ticket to the Moon, I'd still contemplate if I really want to do this.

BTW, am I a complete old-fart for not knowing what 'burning man' is?

Burning Man is an event in the desert that is... well, let's call it unique. It's a bit hard to describe so I shall link the website. http://www.burningman.com/

Yeah, I have but not recently. 2000 and 2003 when they banned the doggies. I'd like to go again even though I'm not sure I'd survive the desert heat nowadays - nursing a sunburn as we speak, haha. It's huge now too - almost 40,000 people last year. It's most definitely an experience. I went to raves and stuff like that in the desert too. When are we leaving? *Chuckle
