The Dutch generally prefer their french fries with mayonnaise - so do the Germans.

I first heard about that from the "Royal w/Cheese" scene in Pulp Fiction. My pop culture education has never let me down!

I must be the last person on earth who hasn't seen Pulp Fiction in full. The "Quarter Pounder" is called Royale in Germany too. The rest of the world does the metric system. It's pretty much just the US that thinks in strange units... ;o)

How do you like your fries?

I took a trip to Vienna when I was in high school. We stopped by a McDonald's for lunch one day. I always get a Quarter Pounder when I go to Mickey D's, and because I had seen Pulp Fiction, I knew what to ask for. Everybody else was freaking out ("Where's the Quarter Pounder?! I can't find it!") until I told them what to order.

Nothing but salt. McDonald's fries are my favorite.

Here in Utah, everyone uses fry sauce, which is one part ketchup and two parts mayonnaise. And completely disgusting, if you ask me!

Geez, I'd like to meet one of the Amayra guides.

Very interesting. That combo would be called cocktail sauce in Europe and have sherry and black pepper added. It comes with Shrimp Cocktails there. I like it with that and only that and find the weird red sauce that comes with shrimps here reaaaaaaaaaaallllllly gross, lol. I guess it's whatever you're used to.

Mayonnaise in general grosses me out. So does cocktail sauce (I think that's what it's called, the red sauce that comes with shrimp here). I'm really not very picky about my food, but there are a lot of condiments that are so disgusting! Sour cream? Relish? Gross gross gross.

I like my fries with seasoning salt, and occasionally with ketchup too.

Do you drink coffee? And how, anything added? Is there a "Brazilian Way" to prepare coffee? I'm curious. :) I used to not like it at all, now I will occasionally have some flavored American coffee... like Hazelnut or Irish coffee flavor. But I have to have some milk or creamer with it, and a little bit of sugar or substitute. I also like iced coffee.

Haha, yes. Pommes rot-weiss... I don't like ketchup so I do prefer them with mayo, or curry sauce, or other sauces most would consider weird, like sweet/sour sauce etc.

You're from the UK originally, right? How do you like your fries/chips/pommes? :)

::Waves flag:: I like mayo with fries but prefer curry sauce. Or potato wedges with that spicy stuff we had at Jordan's. What's on this weekend, anything?

I'll call. ;o) Potato wedges are yummy. I like them with buttermilk sauce.
