I had expected more too. I watched it at home on DVD and almost nodded off at one point. I still think it's a good thing they finally approached the topic in a "big" movie and took their time doing so. What did you not like about it?

i suppose the oh-so-american approach to the entire subject of homosexuality is giving me a headache. I found it a little too sabby.

Sappy, it was. That's something one has to get used to here in general. Everything is more vague, less straight-forward, more emotional and, of course, politically correct. I often have to filter my German-style honesty and straightforwardness so people don't get offended.

Realm of the Senses was a total turnoff for me too. Total lack of eye candy.
