Beachiness

Great. I just lost another entry. This is starting to tick me off. It seems to randomly decide if it wants to save a draft or not. Interesting. Again, I don't have time to write it all up again... Wasn't that important anyway ( Read more... )

Malibu? Something about the center pic reminds me of Malibu. Not really enough houses, though...

You would probably get along well with my girlfriend... SO... whatever they're calling it nowadays... she (fritters) is crazy for the beach. Me? I'd rather be out in the middle of the ocean - the beach is just a way to get there :)

I love both but if I had to choose, I'd rather be out there on a boat too. =)

i took a class in black and white photography so that i could learn the technique of making my own prints. if you are into photography and you haven't spent time in the dark room then you are definitely missing out. in the end i got a lot more than just technique out of the class, and i went on to take a lighting and digital colour class. they were all definitely worth it.

Yes, I'm sure. I do think getting pointers for basic techniques could be useful. Of course I'm also talking digital here so high-brow pros would sneer at me for that to begin with. ;o) I'll look into it.

Those are great shots.. I think with photography you can have 'the eye', so it's not only about taking lessons. I've never had any art lessons, so with me it's also through experimentation.. let's say i'm my best teacher

Thanks. And that's a good point. I really think when you have absolutely no talent/eye for visuals, there's no way to be "taught". I definitely can't paint or draw but I think I do have the eye for photography so I shall look into it more.

The third picture of the shore is absolutely beautiful. Makes me wish I was at the beach right now! It would look great as a desktop background. You've definitely got talent (not that I'm an expert or anything, I just know what I like).

Thanks. I'm the same way, I like what I like. Famous names and "expert" critique tends to have very little influence on me. =) I'd rather set a trend than follow it. I've added you back.

They're great. Having seen your other pictures I very much think you have the eye. And you definitely have great color sense. I see so many boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooring images on Flickr. Most people just take really crappy pictures. Yours always stand out. Go for it!

Oh, thank you. Now I feel flattered, lol. And I think I will. =)
