When you drink a Cola

Ew at cola/soda.

I live off of carbonated water- sometimes mixed in with juice (the real stuff as opposed to the corn syrup/dye crap).

As for caffeine- tea or guarana juice are the way to go. :)

I love tea and water, carbonated or not, and also do the seltzer/100% juice thing. The one thing I absolutely can't do without gagging is veggie juice, with the exception of carrot + orange mentioned above.

I boycott colas because of the company's illegal practices and not because of the nutritional value or the lack of it, there are things far worse in most people's diet than cola.

You mean illegal practices of the Coca Cola Company? What are they doing that's illegal?

They (Coca Cola as well as Pepsi Cola) don't follow environmental norms and regulations in developing countries and have abused workers. In India, at various places they have drained the water table (which leaves no drinking water for people and this happens in remote areas) and completely eroded the land. A high level of pesticide content has also been found in the colas, much higher than the permitted level. And this is just the tip of the iceberg.

Oh yes, I read an article on it. There was some kind of official boycott, right? It's good that people are doing this. It sounds rather typical for 'corporate' America and their business practices... Neither environmental issues nor the concern for people/workers/anyone foreign or even their own people is very high on the list here once the almighty DOLLAR comes into play. It's pretty disgusting.

I'm drinking orange juice now ;)
Whenever I feel bad, I'll drink a litre of Coke and eat chocolate I guess. :-)
