Girly girl or tomboy?

Busy, busy, busy. And not so much in the mood for journalling as it is suddenly summer... Regardless of the fact that officially, spring hasn't even arrived yet! Today we had record-breaking temps. On the news they said it was the warmest March 12 since 1954. I want to go down to Pedro tomorrow and stay for the day. Hang out at the park, down to ( Read more... )

Neither, actually, I'm just me. I never put on make-up because I think it's bad for the skin, but I can be pretty vain about my hair... though I favour comfortable over attractive anytime in my dress style.

Sorry, I'm not being very helpful here, am I :(

I'm a manly man! Haha, well I don't know about all that, but yeah, I think I have a bit of both mixed in. I don't walk around with my chest sticking out, acting like I can run over everybody all the time. I was raised in a household surrounded by women, five sisters, and very low male influence until later on in life. So, in some ways I'm still learning how to be a man. I think, or at least I hope, I'm ok though.

i'm pretty minimalistic when it comes to make-up and beauty products. i'm happy with my lip gloss and eye-liner and a little bit of mascara. i don't usually use foundation on my skin, but sometimes i use a little bit of pressed powder when i want to look 'flawless'. hehe. and Cosmo is definitely NOT my bible. so maybe, like you, i'm an in between? :)

post a pic of yourself! i'm curious to see.

I think this is a great question. I would say that now I am more neutral, I want the expensive hair cuts and nice clothes that are appropriate for me age. But I don't wear make-up and I have no problem doing heavy manual labor when it is require - I even own my own chainsaw.

This has changed over time. Up until the age of 13, I was a tomboy. Then, I switched in high school and tried to be more girly. I think over the last ten years since high school, I have found a happy medium between the two.

I think I just am who I am irregardless of associating with an identity one way or the other. I'm neither tomboy nor girlygirl. I have many traits of a typical tomboy but I'm in no way 'rough around the edges' or without class.

My parents really didn't pigeonhole me on this issue and I grew up being comfortable doing whatever I pleased...
Some of my friends would have been surprised to see me wearing a dress at formal diplomatic functions while others would be surprised to see me covered in mud and chasing after snakes.
Really depends on how I interact with them and in which settings.

I would imagine it's something similar for you- in the sense of having more than one limited dimension to your personality?
