After some nap time in this heat, another annoying "conversation" on Yahoo Messenger. Is there nothing but nutters, bores, married cheaters and pervs on the thing anymore? I have no idea where they all come from and why they feel compelled to talk to me. What I do know is that I'm tired of every single one of them. Does this happen to all the

I also get tons of messages in Arab, do you ever get those?

Yes, I get tons of Arabs too who are often just looking for female contacts to marry so they can help them get to Europe or the US (ever been proposed to online by a stranger? lol). I also tend to be their "preferred" type visually so that's been errrrrrr... interesting, to say the least. Aren't normal and non-boring mutually exclusive?
You could create your own custom filter, like Sifter (which was originally posted in the print version of the San Diego Reader) or Hike the Geek, that sort of thing.
I'm curious, if you did, how would it read? I.e., what are you really looking for?

You asked what I'm looking for... Hmm. I'm looking for some non-stupid people that I can actually relate to. Most characters on those chat things now can't hold a conversation to save their lives. They answer in 1-liners and just want quote, "more pictures!!" That's especially classic when (other than me) they don't even have a single photo of themselves online. Broader horizons are good too (but for that, I seem to be in the wrong country...). Do I sound arrogant? Pissed off? I'm really neither, I just tend to be frank. Heh. What are you looking for? Anything? =)
Thanks for the links, I'll have a look at them.

I look for similar things, and a bit more: I like people who recognize and embrace their power to improve their world through creativity and effort. Those are the ones I find non-boring. And, alas, it's definitely not the norm.
