I am a bit surprised that North America only makes up 5% of the world's population, but well I suppose I shouldn't be! Its insane how many people live in China and India alone. I had never known either that Hindi was the second most spoken language in the world. All this info is really fascinating!

And I absolutely agree that sit coms are basically stupid, in fact I don't really watch TV at all. I'd much rather pick up a good book or do some writing. When I went to Madrid, I was actually disappointed to see how much American culture has taken over there. I think many things about our society are not ideal, and I have a hard time understanding why the rest of the world would even want to adopt them.

Oh cool, did you enjoy Spain? It's one of my favourite places. The USA has its advantages but also many things that are more than objectable -- ... at least to me. I could never live here for good, and am not going to. Merely a matter of personal preference though, all power to those who think this is heaven on earth and are happy here. *Grin ( ... )

LOL yeah, makes sense. I have the reverse problem with a couple of languages. Can speak, comprehend, read but never learned the proper writing/spelling.
