What a delightful story! I loved Dean being so unsure and having such a crush and what a wonderful literary device to use the poem and the door with the paintings. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of this!

If I'd gone to high school w/ Cas, I would've crushed on him so damn bad.

And it's a brilliant poem, full of so many great lines and wonderful imagery. So perfect for Dean & Cas!

OMG! I love the way you wrote Dean here. He was so incredibly obvious in his crush and it was so sweet!

I felt for Dean when he saw Cas kiss Meg but cheered when he took Castiel's advice and took a chance. Just awesome!

I liked writing Dean as the one w/ the crush, and not sure how to go about getting his man. But of course I needed the happy ending!

Not gonna lie, I squee'd like the nerd I am when I saw your title. That poem always made me so damned sad -- thanks for giving it a happy ending. I guess those mermaids sang to Dean after all.

Castiel looked right at Dean. "I would tell him to 'man up' and open the damn door."

Oh, yeah. Brilliant work. I love it!

(ETA: It should be "Sylvia" Plath.) :D

I can't believe I spelled her name w/ an "i"! That's so weird. I know it's w/ a "y" -- but I did it three times! LOL. I blame the late night.

The poem is wicked depressing, indeed. But the movie is optimistic! A little indie from fifteen or so years ago now.

Thanks for reading, bb!

I haven't read the fic yet. I'm commenting ahead of time though because I was so excited when I read the summary, as "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock" is my favoritest TS Eliot ever to be written. :D

It's my favoritest, too! And fun to read from a Dean perspective and think about what he would think of it.

I love love LOVE this story! Everything about it! Castiel as the God of the school, the descriptions of his family and friends (Uriel and Raphael as the twins? And Balthazar! *cackles*), and the way you used that poem, oh my God!!! Just...everything. SO MUCH LOVE. ♥ ♥ ♥

Thank you, bb! Heh, I love writing snarky Balthazar. He can be such an ass. But an endearing one!

And Cas is God. It's canon!
