Title: Dystopia Is for Lovers

Summary: Ben Braeden has just moved to California to live with his scientist dad and his schoolteacher uncle after the death of his mother. Things begin to look up for him and his family when he meets the famous sci-fi author, Castiel Novak. (Told in alternating POVs by Ben, Cas, Sam and Dean.)

You used to live in Torrance? My brother lived in Torrance before he got married, and then Pasadena with his wife for a couple of years about ten years ago. So all the location bits were from when I visited him a few times out there.

Really liked this. I loved Ben in it.
The 4 POVs was a wonderful idea and the whole fic is just beautiful *sighs happily*

I actually really like your parent-kid interactions, not only in this fic (I've read that RPF one with Harrison a while ago, I'm not sure whether I left a comment. But it was fabulous!)
Usually I'm not a kid!fic person (to many bad expiriences? haha) because some people tend to picture an oooverly caring perfect parent that just doesn't seem in character or realistic, or it's the oposite and there is some kind of child abuse going on (not that that can't be an interesting read)...
but (omg so sorry for rambling! xD) my point is (oh yeah, there is a point somewhere lol) - there should be more humorous, lovely kid!fics with romance in it and you should totally write more when you have time!
I hope inspiration strikes you!

i loved this! i loved all the references to the show, i loved castiel's mural of heaven and hell, i loved ben's pov and bobby being the best boss ever and chuck naming the book dystopia is for lovers, and sam's geekiness, and dean's insecurities and leaps of faith.

so, basically, everything about this.
