I made another one! I can't stop! This one is just about the English girls of TW (at least, the ones I think of as being English). I am dedicating it to my English internet wife, smirnoffmule because, well, she's English. And awesome. Vid stars Suzie, Tosh, Diane, Martha and Lisa, w/ various cameos. Oh wow, I've never had anything dedicated to me before, not even by an internet wife. Awww, Suzie! Oh Gwen/Suzie. I love this actually, with the Suzie, it shows another side of her to the bitter crazy woman we're used to. I was sad for her and sad for Tosh because Tosh makes me sad!face. And awww, Owen. So dumped. And Oh Ianto with the bloody hand and the gun... D: This was utterly full of loveliness and sexiness and sadness, and I heart you for celebrating the ladies like they deserve. Your internet wife approves. Thank you!

I do love to explore Suzie's character. She's fascinating. And open for flexible interpretation, as we only got her for two episodes.
I'm really enjoying making the ladies-centric vids! I adore Jack/Ianto, but the ladies need some love! (And I was surprised, when I started going through clips, at how many times Owen was left. He really couldn't keep anyone, could he? Poor guy.)

I so agree on Suzie - she has so many possibilities. Who was this woman, and how did she get to such a dark place? Really must let those Gwen/Suzie bunnies of mine out to play before too long.

Gwen says hop to it. She's allowed to make bad puns b/c she is super badass.

I wrote a few Suzie-centric short fics during "Red Is My Colour" but have not gone back to her except in comment porn since then. I really want to. I'll have to add a Suzie fic to my ever-growing pile of unfinished WIPs. And then finish it.

Very nice! I thought maybe you were going to go with the "English girls are mean" theme throughout, but that kind of changed. Awwww, the part with Ianto is sad. I guess his English girl WAS mean in the end. ha. You rarely see Suzie in a video. Or anywhere, for that matter. I like the song.

(I was going to have Lisa throwing Ianto aside over one of the "English girls can be so mean" lyrics, but it wasn't in the bit about "You meant everything" and she really, really applied there. But yeah, Lisa-when-cyberwoman was most definitely a meanie.)

And I must be addicted to seeing Suzie's lovely face in my vids, b/c she's been in both! Yay, Suzie! The last thing I beta-ed was Suzie-centric and the one I'm beta-ing now is also Suzie-centric, so maybe she's making a resurgence.

Yeah, but there were three "means" and Suzie and Tosh had good stories w/ theirs. That left the last one. And in a battle between Diane and Lisa over who gets "you meant everything," Lisa kicks Diane's ass. So Diane got to me mean and Lisa got to mean everything. (And that way Ianto could cry during the emo wails -- I was doing research for your crying vid!) :D

Bookending the song with Suzie and Lisa -- nice. We don't get enough glimpses into either as people, before the alien got its claws into them. This hints at that nicely.

Thank you! I must admit that I don't think about Lisa all that much, but I had wanted to include her in this b/c of English girls, and I think of her as being from London, or its environs and then London proper. Then when I was dividing up the verses, hers and Suzie's just suited them so well. I really liked how Lisa "meant everything" b/c it encompasses so much more than just love. She was his meaning of life, his purpose. So that's why she gets the end. I think Suzie and Lisa are probably the most misunderstood of the lot of women in this vid. It's easier to understand the others' motivations or empathize w/ them (especially Tosh, whom I love).
So rambling on here and will stop and go to bed now. Thanks for commenting!
