Very nice, Jack does have that anxious streak, I think it fits in well with his nervousness in the office scene. Also liked the naked jacuzzi bit.

Really not sure how many British people would know Suzanne Pleshette. I do, although I can't remember much about her or why she would be relevant to this story? But I am a nerd with a head full of trivia who has seen way too many films....

Naked jacuzzis make everything better.

Yeah, the title is a trifle obscure (my explanation: Suzanne Pleshette played Bob Newhart's wife on one TV series, then he went on to star on another series with a different actress playing his wife -- at the end of the series finale for that show, he woke up in bed with Suzanne Pleshette and she said it was all a dream), but I came up with the title first and everything followed from there. And since Jack didn't want his night to be a dream (or Owen, for that matter), I didn't change the title when I finished.

I think Bob Newhart would be little known here, a lot of US comedies didn't ever get shown, still don't, or the dramas. I just remembered her doing some cheesy telly films! With cable a lot more is on, so some of the cable channels would show things that may not have been aired otherwise. Something like MASH would be known, and some other things have a cult following, rather than mainstream. Even something like Sienfeld isn't mainstream.

I don't think it matters for your story at all, as I said it is lovely, it would only matter if it were crucial for the characters to know that reference. (Bobby Ewing, now there is a well known dream reference..)

OMG - a Newhart reference. She was such a lovely actress and that scene will rate up there with the all time great TV series endings of all time :-)

Lovely story.

Thanks so much!
Yeah, here's hoping Suzanne Pleshette isn't rolling in her grave to be part of the title of a slashy story on the internet. I think she'd be cool with it.
