100 Things: The Joy of Pancakes (#3)

Growing up, Wednesdays were Pancake Day. My dad has always been the breakfast cook in my family, and Mondays - Fridays that usually meant cold cereal. But Wednesdays were special. I love pancakes. What an awesome story about your dad - so cool that he did that for all of you growing up :D You have such great memories now :D

I'd love the blueberry/chocolate chip recipe - this pumpkin one looks delicious!

LOL, the blueberry chocolate chip is the Bisquick recipe, plus two tablespoons of veggie oil, plus however many blueberries and chocolate chips you want. Voila!

I just wanted to tell you that this post filled me with all the warm fuzzies and made me nostalgic for my own childhood (not an easy feat) and the days my dad would fry up fish for breakfast (a rare treat to get Dad to make breakfast).

Also this post made me hungry!

I'm in Costa Rica right now, and my friend who we're staying w/ is going to make a traditional Costa Rican breakfast for us tomorrow. There will be cheese! And rice and beans, but the cheese is the important part. And papaya and pineapple. Mmmmm...
