Dean froze. Dangling bits of cheese fell from the grater and into the bowl with a soft plop.

He laid his fork carefully on his plate, tines down.

I love this kind of desriptions, they make the text so vivid!

He'd probably thought he was insanely funny, the funniest agent in the department.

And I love how you weave seemlessly in the story all characters' canon traits!

That's funny, the fork was also something one of my betas pointed out. So yay! Glad it words. (And in my house, we put the tines down at the end of the meal. Tines up meant cake or pie for dessert!)

*eep* This Niveus stuff sounds nasty. Will our good guys stop it being put into the water supply? I suspect Lilith will have plenty of minions to get in the way.

They're gradually closing in on the whys and wherefores of the case, though, which is good.

Poor Dean, though, all distrated by Cas and being obvious about it, too. Anyone else other than Sam, Bobby and Ash going to comment? Rufus is going to Bobby's, too, so will he throw his own little bit of support/advice dean's way? Will any of it make Dean stop putting his foot in his mouth? :D
