A New Year

When I was younger, say from my early teens to my late twenties, the dawning of a new year gave me intense anxiety. I wasn't worried about the coming year, but I was incredibly bothered by the loss of the year that was. Anders seems to have the same anxiety you described and as I never cared much about it either way, I was having a hard time comforting him yesterday. I'm glad you aren't troubled by it anymore and hopefully it stays that way!

I had never thought about it in that context. As a teen I think I looked forward to New Year's Day because I'd be one year older. I now dread it for the same reason - ha, ha!

I think I've still retained a lot of Type A characteristics, despite L-G being very laid back. It's that very thing that triggers my Type A response sometimes - you know, someone has to worry!
