after the 6110 ruito (6-1-10), i remembered hearing some of the number plays that were going on for a while... so i looked up 4649 (yoroshiku)...

the insanity never endswhen i was younger we just had stuff like, 14344 (i love you very much) and 5254 (mahal na mahal kita)... wasn't that during the dolphy-alma days? i feel old... o_____O chinese ( Read more... )

How did 4649 become yoroshiku!? Soo confused!! ><;;
Gets ko pa yung 14344, but I think the logic is different.

totally different logic.. we just counted the letters... that may be harder to decipher, but it keeps us from making too many number plays. ^^;;

4 = yon (yo), shi
6 = roku, mu
9 = ku, kyuu (ko)

i was surprised about 6.. that's the only that didn't follow for me... _-_;; anyway~ one of the replies had this explanation:

1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,100,1000,10000
=ひ、ふ、み、よ、い、む、な、や、こ、と、もも、ち、よろず
=いち、に、さん、し、ご、ろく、なな、はち、く、じゅう、ひゃく、せん、まん
このほかに、「80」を「やそ」、「500」は「いお」、「99」は「つくも」など、古くからの言葉が残っていますので、それも利用します。

there's not so many people using 4649 anymore, since it's old.. but it doesn't take away the fact that they still sometimes love to make up stuff out of this... _-_;;

And I thought Sudoku was hard enough (at least for me... still can't comprehend how to play the puzzle).

labs sudoku... only one of each number vertically, horizontally, and per cube grouping. :) logic puzzles, gotta love 'em.

Back when I was playing Rymze, before we started a game, they would go "46" (yoro[shiku]). And after the game ended, "02" (otsu[kare]).

Honestly, I thought they must be damn lazy to type out or something. This isn't SMS, guys!!!

yeah.. i have a hard time watching sms speak on the computer.. when people, i'm sure, are just as capable of spelling the whole thing out almost as quickly... AIM speak, 1337 speak... ^^;;

it would be interesting if somebody actually was playing ryzme on their cell.. XD XD XD XD
