The coffee grinder is really something! I wish we had thrift stores, too, such 'old school' things (including cassette players) are impossible to find here.

I love Art Nouveau and Aubrey Beardsley, he's so French despite being so English. I have a similar book in Russian, one of the best presents I ever received.

And I think I must be good at boardgames, though I'm absolutely hopeless at computer ones. I once played several rounds of Transformations and only was annoyed by the company. Game of life in Capitalist America sounds tempting to a Soviet-born. ;)

Coffee is my new hobby. A friend of mine started his own cafe and roasting business--so I have an inside track.

It's such a tragedy Beardsley died so young, at 26. He could have taken art in such interesting directions.
