Twilight

I tried to watch "Twilight" yesterday (or rather, I had one eye on it while I worked at my computer).  It must be one of the worst films I have ever seen.  I couldn't find any angle from which to appreciate it.  It doesn't even work as a guilty pleasure.  Is the younger generation so brain- and heart-dead that they imagine this is what passion and ( Read more... )

I read the book, and I hated it and that's enough. I don't even want to watch the movie.
I find it also hard to grasp how people can have read the book/watched the movie a dozen times (I actually know people who have) and say it's the best thing in the world. Same people also find it total OK to obsess over someone to the point of sacrificing everything else and call it "love".

O, I'm not opposed to that. It's happened to me a few times. It's the human condition, both a blessing and a curse.

I thought the soundtrack was really good and the kiss was surprisingly hot. Otherwise I found it meh but tolerable, probably because it wasn't as awful as the book.
