Thanks very much! That was really why I wrote this; she's a huge part of Sam's motivation, but we never got to know her at all. Glad it felt good to you!

Thanks! She kind of was- I'm pleased that we've got a few dream visits over the years.

This feels like the real Jess. Everything we know about her we know from a few minutes in the pilot so it's in fanfic that we really get to know her. This is a Jess I can believe in and that makes what's about to happen even worse.

Thank you, that's really good to hear! I wrote this some time ago, sort of to explain to myself why I should care that she died, why it would be such a huge motivation for Sam. It actually helped me get a bit more of a read on her character when she popped up again this season (well, sort of..)

"She has her whole life in front of her to live with the man she loves."

Thank you! And yeah, poor Jess. The way this ended was a bit cruel.

Sorry, I had trouble getting past the point where Jess left the cookies in the oven for 30 minutes. Maybe that's what caused the fire, not the yellow-eyed demon.

Nice job otherwise.

Well, I'm very flattered if that was your biggest complaint. Thanks for finishing despite that, and commenting even!
