I'm so glad you find it so, Shirebound. The process of countering the Morgul shard must have had some strong effect on a newly awakened Frodo, I'd think!
Oh, this is interesting. I know you've hinted at it before, but now we see that Frodo did indeed have a crush on Arwen! But of course he'd say nothing, especially on understanding Aragorn's prior claim!
Whether or not he fully understands that prior claim I'm uncertain, but I do suspect that unconsciously he picked up on it. But it wasn't until the arrival of the bride's party in Gondor that he appears to have consciously accepted that this was the love of Aragorn's life, and that she'd already accepted the Man as such in return.
I have always loved this moment in the Book. Thank you for expanding on it. Another reason to feel pity for Frodo. Now I await seeing how/ when Aragorn gets the actual armour. *grin*
I, too, loved this scene in the book, and wondered why, if Aragorn was seen in Elven armor standing by Arwen and her father, Frodo hadn't noted that when Bilbo drew him away to consult on the poem. So, I thought, perhaps in his dreamlike state he was experiencing after effects from the process of countering the Morgul shard.
