I tivoed Kid Nation. How was it?

Some parts of it were kinda cool, but the format is much different then I was led to believe. In the previews, it makes it sound like they are free to make up whatever sort of communist society they see fit (kids love communism).

But the show was just full of adult influence, the kids were arbitrarily divided into teams and given better or worse jobs based on how they performed in Survivor-style competitions, with arbitrary pay scales and whatnot. Also, I think 12 should be the age limit instead of 14. The 14 year olds are clearly well into puberty and just tower over the rest of the kids. The council is cool though, the kid with glasses is the best.
