What's with all the Alastairs in my fandoms!?

I've just realised that I've been spelling Alistair's name wrong (from DA:O) but I blame that on Supernatural because of Alastair (I do prefer that spelling though) and there was an Alastair in Tomb Raider: Legend, who I adored until what happened to him in Underworld... :(

Also, doesn't anyone else think that Shaun from Assassin's Creed 2 and ( Read more... )

Shaun > DA:O Alistair. They are similar, but Shaun just wins. His bitching is closer to pure bitching, whereas Alistair's kind of like a puppy.

And ew, spiders. You just made me check the desk. Thankfully, none around. But the laws of spider-paranoia say that because this has happened, I'll probably end up with one in bed or something.

Templars are evil. The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown confused the shit out of me, because I read it after I'd played AC2 for the first time simply because it said "da Vinci" and had pictures in it. I was just like Leonardo = Templar = Good? WTF?

You can't really cheat on them, they get all iffy. If you're a fem!Cousland, you can become Queen. That was my first playthrough. Then I accidentally romanced Zev on my second. My third is a guy, who romanced Morrigan, dumped her, romanced Leliana, dumped her and is in a reasonably steady relationship with Zev.

As for The Fade, I try to get it over with. I died so many times, it's not even funny. I'm not a fan of the Deep Roads earlier, but at least they're better than The Fade.

Haha! I loved The Da Vinci code, but I did read it before I was into AC- and I totally forgot da Vinci is a templar in it! That is weird- but imagine if that was an expansion for AC2- kill Leonardo because you find out he is actually a templar! Won't happen because he did live to be quite old.

I haven't romanced Morrigan or Leliana yet- I tried to with my last playthrough as a male rogue but I'd already had Zevran give me the earring so they weren't really interested. Zevran's funny though because when you sleep with him, it adds +1 approval each time so you can just keep doing it until his approval is maxed out.

Deep Roads! The Broodmother is scary- it went so bad on my second playthrough, but I somehow managed to beat it with only Oghren because all my other party members died.

Also, despite being willing to spend ungodly amounts of money for DLC, I wouldn't be able to kill Leonardo. No matter how evil he turned out to be (though seriously, look at him. He couldn't be evil. And he glows blue! BLUE!), I just couldn't.

Yeah, the sleeping-with-Zevran thing is useful. Though it gets a bit repetitive, and it's awkward if there are family members hanging around.

The Broodmother is the only baddie that I find easier with a mage than with a rogue. Lifeward is very useful, there. What's your usual party? Alistair's my tank, despite his Templarness. If I'm a mage, I take Zev and Leliana as rogues. If I'm a rogue, I take Zev as a backup rogue and bring Wynne along to keep us all from dying.

Usual party has Alastair (as tank) and Morrigan, and then usually a rogue. but when I play as a mage I'll probably replace Morrigan and go for two rogues instead.
