I'm pleased that the weather has changed. Bertie was really impressed by the thunder we had yesterday. He spends most of his time sitting in the porch door. He met a curious raccoon the other night. They sat and communed through the screen for a while and made friends ( Read more... )

Oh yeah. Gotta do the test. The new machine has a button setting, the old one just had one of those stupid feet that's supposed to do them. I did several tests with that thing and they seemed fine, but when I attempted on the actual garment, it got chewed up. Fortunately, I had enough of the silk (my cousin bought for me in China) to make a second vest for Lance, but then of course there wasn't enough for the purse I wanted to make for myself.

I can't stand tight clothes in hot weather. I try to wear clothes that actually touch my body as little as possible, sort of like being nude under a tent. It works for me.
